About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for processing, evaluating patient specimens
- Performing tests to identify microorganisms or antigens according to written procedures
- Perform susceptibilities
- Record and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly QC in assigned areas
- Maintain safe work practices
- Follow all regulatory requirements
- Engage supervisor, manager, or director as appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or another ASCP discipline
- ASCP certification within 1 year of eligibility. If eligible at time of hire then within 1 year of hire date.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience
- ASCP certification
