About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for processing, evaluating patient specimens
  • Performing tests to identify microorganisms or antigens according to written procedures
  • Perform susceptibilities
  • Record and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly QC in assigned areas
  • Maintain safe work practices
  • Follow all regulatory requirements
  • Engage supervisor, manager, or director as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or another ASCP discipline
  • ASCP certification within 1 year of eligibility. If eligible at time of hire then within 1 year of hire date.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience
  • ASCP certification
