About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Works under the direct supervision of the clinic physician by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients
Conducts patient interviews and all required screenings, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information in patients' Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and ensures exam rooms are stocked with supplies needed for patient care activities
Performs administrative tasks by registering and scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc. using the various registrations and scheduling systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED PLUS Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Registered or Certified in Medical Assistant
One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience
BLS (CPR) Certification
Ability to perform point of care testing, draw and collect blood specimens and prepare for laboratory processing
