About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department within the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinic.
  • Partner with regional leadership to translate UAMS strategic priorities into everyday clinical practice.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, payer requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Drive evidence-based practice and support professional growth.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced specialty clinic.
  • Ensure efficient staffing, development, budgeting, patient satisfaction, professional growth, and quality outcomes.
  • Implement and uphold the organization’s vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practices, and nursing support services.
  • Drive continuous improvement in patient experience, safety, and clinical quality metrics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in the field of Nursing
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas.
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in using healthcare software and databases
  • Desire to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and a commitment to delivering quality patient care
