About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process referrals received from the SNAP E&T Central Office on a weekly basis.
  • Follow the guidelines in the DHS SNAP E&T Handbook and SNAP E&T Manual.
  • Conduct a preliminary assessment of referred individuals in a timely manner, which will include scale scores for the TABE assessment and Educational Functional Levels.
  • Provide reverse referrals for individuals when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based client files to support the timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Accurately maintain program participant files as required by Arkansas Adult Education.
  • Serve as an Arkansas Adult Education approved Career Development Facilitator/Career Coach.
  • Provide job search assistance to SNAP E&T program participants.
  • Assist each SNAP E&T participant with the development of an individualized employment/education plan.
  • Update employment/education plans in a timely manner as required by Arkansas Adult Education.
  • Monitor the progress of each SNAP E&T participant, identify potential barriers to success, and develop an individualized solution strategy to promote successful progress.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Three years of experience in program administration or related area.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to commit to and successfully complete the Arkansas Adult Education Career Services Provider (CSP) Course within one (1) year of hire.
