Clinical Therapy and Performance Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designs, implements, and oversees individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes and therapy patients, including performance enhancement, injury prevention, rehabilitation support, and return-to-play programming.
- Conducts performance assessments and movement evaluations utilizing sports performance technologies such as force plates, motion capture systems, velocity-based training tools, and other testing equipment.
- Analyze and interpret results to provide actionable recommendations for athletes, patients, therapists, coaches, and other stakeholders.
- Manages and maintains performance technology systems and data platforms, including equipment calibration, troubleshooting, software administration, reporting dashboards, testing records, and documentation to ensure data integrity and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare and performance teams including physical therapists, athletic trainers, physicians, and performance staff to coordinate patient care, athletic development plans, and evidence-based performance strategies.
- Provides education on training methods, recovery techniques, technology applications, and performance metrics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, Athletic Training, or related field plus 1 year of experience in strength and conditioning, sports performance, rehabilitation, or related clinical/performance setting.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association or equivalent nationally recognized certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in strength and conditioning, sports performance, rehabilitation, or related clinical/performance setting
- Experience working with athletes and/or orthopedic rehabilitation patients across multiple age groups and performance levels
- Working knowledge of force plate systems, motion capture technology, velocity-based training systems, and sports performance data analysis platforms.
- Understanding of biomechanics, injury prevention, return-to-play progressions, and performance monitoring principles.
- Proficiency with technology troubleshooting, software management, and data reporting tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary healthcare and performance teams.
