Pharmacy Intern – Inpatient Pharmacy
University of Arkansas SystemPharmacy Intern assisting with day-to-day dispensing operations in Inpatient Pharmacy at UAMS. Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure timely and efficient patient service.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Pharmacy Technician I, II, and III as it relates to day-to-day dispensing functions
- Assist with prioritizing day-to-day workflow and immediate need
- Gather the appropriate medication, research data in the EPIC computer system, compound medications
- Maintain appropriate and adequate stock in all pharmacy areas
- Notify a pharmacist when medications are ready for checking
- Maintain clean work surfaces, hoods, and classified spaces by using proper techniques and following policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrolled in an ACPE accredited college/school of pharmacy
- Pharmacy Intern License by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Technician License by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy and must work towards obtaining a Pharmacy Intern License within six months of hire
