Certified Respiratory Therapist, CRT
University of Arkansas SystemCertified Respiratory Therapist providing night shift patient care at UAMS Medical Center. Assisting in routine respiratory procedures and emergency responses on-site in Little Rock, Arkansas.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs routine respiratory care procedures including, but not limited to: updrafts, metered dose inhalers (MDI), chest physiotherapy (CPT), arterial blood gases (ABG), incentive spirometry, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV), patient education, mechanical ventilator setup and management.
- Assists in codes and rapid responses.
- Enters patient treatment notes in e-chart system and/or places documentation in patient charts
- Calls for, or physically moves, equipment and medical supplies needed into the assigned work areas
- Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma plus 2 years direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care
- Applicant must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Applicant must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP)
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory care (preferred)
- ACCS, NPS, ACLS (preferred)
