About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess, prepare, dispense, and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Use knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment through reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of dose, route and formulation, allergies, medication interactions, monitoring, etc.
  • Frequently communicate with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care.
  • Report adverse drug events and medication safety events.
  • Document interventions in the medical record.
  • Work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Pharmacist license through the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for AR licensure.
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm D. (preferred)
  • 2 years of applicable pharmacy experience (preferred)
