About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess, prepare, dispense, and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner.
Use knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment through reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
Evaluate the appropriateness of dose, route and formulation, allergies, medication interactions, monitoring, etc.
Frequently communicate with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care.
Report adverse drug events and medication safety events.
Document interventions in the medical record.
Work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting.
Pharmacist license through the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for AR licensure.
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm D. (preferred)
2 years of applicable pharmacy experience (preferred)
