Kids First Clinic Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the daily operations of a UAMS Kids First site in accordance with the Kids First model, core values, and mission
- Continuously monitor all aspects of clinic operations to ensure they meet program standards
- Handle problems and seek solutions in collaboration with program leadership
- Support the UAMS mission as a liaison with the community and its medical, educational, and civic components
- Develop annual plan for community involvement, outreach, patient recruitment, and contact with referral sources
- Ensure expenditures are within established clinic budget
- Make recommendations for annual budget
- Recruit, interview, and make hiring recommendations for staff
- Set clear performance expectations based on program model, evaluate, monitor, and manage performance of staff
- Ensure staff competence through verification of licensure, skills validation, and ongoing education
- Communicate and collaborate with Kids First Leadership Team, other clinic directors, stakeholders, and public
- Model UAMS core values and Kids First Guiding Principles in all aspects of role
- Demonstrate positive concern for parents and families served
- Maintain sensitivity and open communication with parents and family members, in compliance with principles of Family Centered Care
- Ensure clinic provides opportunities for family engagement, education, and involvement in their child’s care
- Anticipate problems and work to resolve differences through active listening, open communication and appropriate problem-solving skills.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field from accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of experience managing infant and toddler programs and/or directly supervising the work of others
- CDA credential or Birth-PreK Credential, preferred
- Excellent communication skills with children and adults.
- Must have valid Driver's License.
