About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee extramurally funded programs by ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of community health research projects.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, monitor project workflows, and uphold quality standards to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with external organizations, managing contractual relationships to align with project goals.
  • Utilize performance measurement principles to design, analyze, and summarize data into actionable reports that inform program success.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Research Programs to develop and execute the strategic vision for ICHI’s initiatives.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, ethical sensitivity, and discretion while demonstrating sound judgment and responsible decision-making.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, applied social science, anthropology, sociology, healthcare administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of project management or coordination level experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid AR driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a reliable car for moderate travel (mileage reimbursed).
  • Occasional out-of-state travel required.
  • Proven ability to oversee complex, multi-faceted projects with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with performance measurement and the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and communicate with diverse constituencies.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring team members to achieve program objectives.
  • High level of ethical sensitivity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling complex projects.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and diplomatically.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadline pressure.
