About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The RA will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments.
A surgeon leads operations involving open-heart surgery with clinical training, working closely with the RA.
The RA would be required to work independently on research projects and prepare manuscripts for publication.
The RA will also attend daily clinical rounds to interact with the clinically active members of the laboratory.
The ideal candidate would still be interested in obtaining grant funding to achieve career progression to faculty or staff scientist.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field plus one (1) year of research laboratory experience, including breeding and genotyping required.
Knowledge in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cancer Biology, tissue culture, and microscopy skills.
Must have demonstrated the ability to independently design and successfully carry out experiments in a laboratory setting.
Must record data and report clearly on the study’s findings.
Willingness to perform animal studies is required.
