About the role
- supports the Office of Financial Affairs (OFA), a branch of the Associated Student Government.
- works collaboratively with the ASG Treasurer in supporting OFA fiscal operations
- meeting with RSOs requesting more than $1,000 from OFA for pre-event planning consultations
- remaining familiar with OFA Standing Rules
- attending weekly OFA board meetings held Thursdays 5:00-6:30 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semester
- helping facilitate the interpretation of the standing rules for funding decisions
- encouraging an impartial review of budgets
- clarifying procurement rules or processes
- Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty
- ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Requirements
- Enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
- Available to attend OFA Board meetings, held Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semester
- Experience with basic budgeting
- Experience with event management, meeting coordination, and agenda development
- Prior experience working with student leaders
- Ability to plan effective events
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic budgeting skills
