About the role
- The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports [CIS Clinical Support Systems].
- Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance.
- Supports system applications, primarily [Beacon].
- Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration.
- Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications.
- Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it.
- Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations.
- Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system.
- Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs.
- Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices.
- Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization.
- Prepares activity and other reports as necessary.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts.
- Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.
- Provides On-Call support for application.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Computer Sciences, Nursing or related healthcare field with 3 years IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Nursing or related healthcare field with 5 years IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- Associate's Degree in Computer Sciences, Nursing or related healthcare field with 7 years IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- High School Diploma/GED with 9 years IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- Epic Beacon and Epic Ambulatory - In accordance with IT Epic Certification Policy, must be certified in above application(s) or obtain certification within 90 days (per application) of the date of the last required class to be eligible for certification.
