About the role
- Conduct speech/language and developmental evaluations using standardized tools and observations
- Collect clinical data, consult with caregivers and providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine diagnoses and treatment recommendations
- Document findings and communicate results effectively
- Serve as a clinical resource for other disciplines, prioritize services based on patient needs, and provide ongoing consultation
- Supervise student clinicians as needed
- Maintain clinical competence through continuing education and participate in task forces to enhance clinic operations and patient safety
- Provide professional, empathetic, and confidential communication with patients, families, and stakeholders, adhering to patient-centered care principles
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master's in Communicative Disorders
- AR License in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence, or be eligible
- Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques for assessing developmental disabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing speech-language pathology
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data to support accurate diagnoses
- Ph.D. in Communicative Disorders preferred
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience in speech-language evaluations
