About the role

  • Conduct speech/language and developmental evaluations using standardized tools and observations
  • Collect clinical data, consult with caregivers and providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine diagnoses and treatment recommendations
  • Document findings and communicate results effectively
  • Serve as a clinical resource for other disciplines, prioritize services based on patient needs, and provide ongoing consultation
  • Supervise student clinicians as needed
  • Maintain clinical competence through continuing education and participate in task forces to enhance clinic operations and patient safety
  • Provide professional, empathetic, and confidential communication with patients, families, and stakeholders, adhering to patient-centered care principles
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Master's in Communicative Disorders
  • AR License in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence, or be eligible
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques for assessing developmental disabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing speech-language pathology
  • Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data to support accurate diagnoses
  • Ph.D. in Communicative Disorders preferred
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience in speech-language evaluations
