About the role
- Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
- Provides evidence-based, high-quality patient treatment and education, and monitors patients' physiological status during sessions.
- Consistently meets departmental productivity targets.
- Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
- May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
- Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Must have an Arkansas State License
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible pending completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
- BLS certification (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting this role)
- 3 plus years of experience as a NICU Speech Therapist (specifically in Dysphagia, and FEES)
