About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Regional Director of Financial Aid is the driving force behind the daily operations of Financial Aid (FA)
- Responsible for overseeing policy interpretation, procedures, and regulatory guidance while managing a team of Financial Aid Officers and support staff
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and goals focused on student retention and experience
- Lead impactful projects and identify opportunities for organizational improvement
- Ensure transparency and partnership across departments in all initiatives, particularly with quality assurance
- Partner with campus leadership and staff to ensure alignment on financial aid strategies
- Identify, hire, and retain top talent
- Ensure operational efficiency while providing mentorship, professional development, and coaching
- Oversee initial approval for VA benefits for all assigned campus locations, timely certification of all VA benefits, and School Certifying Official (SCO) annual training
- Analyze team data and metrics to facilitate changes that meet organizational goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 7 years of Title IV aid administration experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Financial Aid, including at least 4 years leading a team of Financial Aid professionals
- High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to drive execution of tasks and change within an organization
- Ability to travel out-of-state up to 5 times per year
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
