About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Regional Director of Financial Aid is the driving force behind the daily operations of Financial Aid (FA)
Responsible for overseeing policy interpretation, procedures, and regulatory guidance while managing a team of Financial Aid Officers and support staff
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and goals focused on student retention and experience
Lead impactful projects and identify opportunities for organizational improvement
Ensure transparency and partnership across departments in all initiatives, particularly with quality assurance
Partner with campus leadership and staff to ensure alignment on financial aid strategies
Identify, hire, and retain top talent
Ensure operational efficiency while providing mentorship, professional development, and coaching
Oversee initial approval for VA benefits for all assigned campus locations, timely certification of all VA benefits, and School Certifying Official (SCO) annual training
Analyze team data and metrics to facilitate changes that meet organizational goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 7 years of Title IV aid administration experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Financial Aid, including at least 4 years leading a team of Financial Aid professionals
High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to drive execution of tasks and change within an organization
Ability to travel out-of-state up to 5 times per year
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
