About the role
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, the Compliance Manager works as part of the Regulatory Affairs team to assess and assist the campuses in maintaining compliance with all state higher education board regulatory standards.
- Maintain a calendar of state reporting requirements inclusive of all assigned campuses, as well as orderly and current records of all state regulatory documents and correspondence.
- Remain current on all state agency regulatory requirements, assuring compliance with state standards.
- Collaborate with campus leadership on timely and accurate reporting to state higher education regulatory bodies.
- Leverage the student information system and other internal systems to ensure accuracy of data.
- Manage stakeholders’ contributions to complete institutional reporting such as state regulatory reports.
- Support campuses in preparation to host visits from state regulatory agencies.
- Conduct research on state requirements of licensure and certification.
- Train campus staff on issues of state compliance.
- Perform regulatory risk analysis to determine recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor compliance with other areas assigned (e.g., IPEDS, Catalog, ASR, marketing, etc.).
- Conduct regular audits of all campuses in the College.
- Utilize legislative tracking software and databases (e.g., FiscalNote, LegiStorm, relevant state services).
- Analyze the potential impact of proposed policy changes on AZCN's operations, students, and strategic expansion plans.
- Promote a positive culture of support and compliance to all constituents of the College.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or one that is recognized by the United States Department of Education.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in higher education management.
- Prior experience interacting with post-secondary education regulatory bodies.
- Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s Degree.
- Five years of experience engaged post-secondary education compliance.
