About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in developing objectives for learning and ensure they are aligned with business documentation and end-user business processes
  • Assist in facilitating professional development courses including activities and guides learning to align with existing curriculum
  • Assist subject matter experts in developing content, prepare and update specialized instructional materials and assessment tools to align with unit objectives and strategy
  • Assist with needs assessments and evaluations to support ongoing development and improvement of learning experiences for customers
  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing course evaluation data and determine appropriate action to incorporate feedback
  • Assist in measuring participant performance and progress utilizing assessment tools to align with established mission and philosophy
  • Assist others to serve as a subject matter expert, point of contact, and communicates with program affiliates, audiences, and stakeholders providing information and guidance on adult learning materials and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in instructional design or related field OR one (1) year of related working experience in a business setting
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design principles in a professional work environment to develop and deliver in-person, virtual and asynchronous learning.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn complex business processing to design and develop learning experiences
  • Effective written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated skill and experience providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Three (3) or more years of technical training course development and training for employees (Preferred)
  • Experience in instructional design using Articulate 360, Captivate or similar tools (Preferred)
  • Experience with a variety of learning technology including learning management systems, and online conference technology (Preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design elements and techniques (Preferred)
  • Planning, organization, and project management skills (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Workday or other ERP application fundamentals (Preferred)
  • Experience working in the public sector or higher education (Preferred)
