About the role

  • Close exchange with the hospital’s internal stakeholders and with suppliers
  • Analysis of procurement markets, trends and price developments
  • Identification, selection and qualification of new suppliers
  • Development of procurement strategies for medical and other material supplies
  • Supply chain management / supplier management; coordination with the UKS controlling departments
  • Conducting contract and price negotiations
  • Drafting framework supply contracts for medical and other material goods
  • Planning materials management projects
  • Drafting procurement-law-compliant service specifications for tender and negotiation procedures
  • Preparation of procurement procedures together with the procurement office based on procurement law requirements
  • Support in the procurement-law evaluation of procurement situations and in the assessment of tender results

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training or an equivalent qualification in purchasing, or training as a commercial clerk in healthcare
  • Practical professional experience in strategic procurement
  • Systematic thinking, ability to identify priorities, sense of responsibility, and commitment with a result-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of and experience with the principles and rules of public procurement law (GWB, VgV, UVgO)
  • Proficiency with IT systems, preferably SAP applications, and willingness to learn new software
  • Confident use of standard software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills, persuasiveness and assertiveness, professional demeanor, and initiative
  • Quick comprehension and flexibility in working hours
  • Creativity, organizational talent, and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork skills and experience in conflict and complaint management
