About the role

  • A varied role within a broad spectrum of treatments in the Uro-endoscopic operating room
  • Care of outpatient and inpatient patients under local anesthesia or general anesthesia
  • Instrumentation for urological procedures with a focus on endoscopic treatment of stones in the upper and lower urinary tract using, for example, a lithotripsy laser and radiological control, as well as resection of diseased bladder and prostate tissue
  • Analysis, safeguarding and further development of nursing quality for outpatient and inpatient patients
  • Assistance tasks in close collaboration with the surgeons
  • Organization, implementation and further development of individual nursing processes and ward workflows

Requirements

  • Completed training as a Registered Nurse (m/f/d) or Surgical Technologist (m/f/d); a specialist qualification in surgical and endoscopy services is welcome but not required
  • Friendly and professional manner with patients, relatives and other professional groups
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties on weekends and public holidays
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multiprofessional university treatment and therapy team and with modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Personable appearance and an independent, reliable working style
  • Willingness to take part in training to acquire radiation protection knowledge according to the X‑ray Ordinance (Röntgenverordnung)
