About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mentor and support graduates to obtain gainful employment in their program of study
- Provide centralized support for graduate career assistance
- Manage the VOE inbox and process employment documentation
- Provide career counseling, interview skill building, graduate outreach, and verification of employment follow-up
- Identify local and graduate employment opportunities and populate job boards
- Create resumes for active students and graduates
- Support employment services tasks for home office and campus teams
- Prepare students for industry through mock interviews, resume preparation, career counseling sessions, and support
- Maintain high employment rates through regular engagement with students and graduates across various channels
- Leverage the EDGE team to connect students and graduates with potential employers
- Ensure compliance with ACCSC standards and state guidelines by accurately documenting employment records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 yr degree in related field preferred but not required
- 2-3 years of experience in education field preferred but not required
- Ability to advise and guide adult students in academic and life-skill matters
- Computer skills required, including Word and Excel
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday
- Available flexible hours and some Saturdays
