About the role

  • High impact: You build the technical foundations that enable our product teams to release quickly, safely, and independently.
  • Design CI/CD: You implement and continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
  • Drive automation: You are responsible for build, test, and release automation for multiple product teams.
  • Containers & Kubernetes: You containerize existing and new components (Docker) and operate applications on Kubernetes — including creating and maintaining Helm charts.
  • Stabilize the platform: You maintain and further develop our Debian-based distributions.
  • Establish Golden Paths: You define reusable standards and workflows for recurring deployments and releases.
  • Keep security in focus: You manage vulnerabilities and ensure a robust, secure software supply chain.
  • Collaborate closely: You work closely with tech leads, development teams, and product management.

Requirements

  • Very good knowledge of GitLab CI
  • Solid experience with Docker and containerization
  • Practical experience in build and release automation
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, debugging, Helm)
  • Understanding of automated testing in a CI/CD context (integration testing desirable)
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with deployments on Debian or Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Python and/or Bash skills for scripting and tooling
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems
  • Operations understanding (customer-side operations, updates, monitoring, stability)
