About the role

  • Advises the activities of a team of Sales Account Managers to achieve profitable growth
  • Builds and maintains sales territories and the assignment of accounts to improve productivity
  • Evaluates team members' efficiency through tracking of account activity
  • Implements improvement plans as necessary
  • Mentors Sales Account Managers in market-based pricing strategies
  • Assists in hiring and training of new team members
  • Coordinates and implements local sales strategy
  • Conducts joint sales calls with team to provide coaching
  • Implements and utilizes a CRM system for customer profiles

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales or commercial role
  • Proven sales management experience leading a sales team
  • Leadership skills in mentoring and team building
  • Ability to develop and grow positive relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers
  • High level of decision-making ability balancing customer needs and company objectives
