About the role
- Advises the activities of a team of Sales Account Managers to achieve profitable growth
- Builds and maintains sales territories and the assignment of accounts to improve productivity
- Evaluates team members' efficiency through tracking of account activity
- Implements improvement plans as necessary
- Mentors Sales Account Managers in market-based pricing strategies
- Assists in hiring and training of new team members
- Coordinates and implements local sales strategy
- Conducts joint sales calls with team to provide coaching
- Implements and utilizes a CRM system for customer profiles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales or commercial role
- Proven sales management experience leading a sales team
- Leadership skills in mentoring and team building
- Ability to develop and grow positive relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers
- High level of decision-making ability balancing customer needs and company objectives
