About the role

  • Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of assigned branch, including transportation, warehouse and tank farm.
  • Facilitates compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental affairs policies.
  • Supports sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental affairs standards.
  • Conducts daily pre-shift meetings, communicates expectations to employees and maintains a supervisory presence.
  • Coordinates day-to-day work activities to ensure operational goals and objectives are met.
  • Builds a positive work environment and develops employee ownership of branch operations and performance.
  • Participates in inspections from outside agencies (DOT,EPA,FDA,DHS).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years operations experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility
  • Familiarity with chemical distribution and UNIVAR Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ability to operate all warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of government regulations related to chemical industry; i.e. OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, etc. preferred
  • Some branches may require HazMat certification or Hazwoper Certification.
