About the role

  • Deliver on targets set for your existing customer base
  • Achieve growth targets for new business within existing accounts
  • Drive new product development sales of functional ingredients to new and existing customers
  • Plan your territory to develop the business
  • Plan, prepare, execute and follow up on customer opportunities
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of all key products
  • Attend supplier training and industry forums as required
  • Keep up to date with technical trends across the market and product portfolios
  • Report all market information to the appropriate Univar Solutions contacts
  • Promote and follow up on all samples in a timely manner
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed promptly and that activity is logged

Requirements

  • Appropriate technical qualification – degree or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience in the food industry
  • Proven track record of sustainable business growth
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
  • Service-oriented mindset
  • Presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate meetings
  • Able to travel regularly (approximately 3 site visits per week)
  • Valid driving licence
  • Ideally based in the Lille or Reims area
