About the role

  • Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling
  • Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls
  • Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction
  • Provide customer technical support and consultant services
  • Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline
  • Set pricing and service levels
  • Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry
  • CASE experience is highly appreciated
  • Technical degree (Technical Science, Chemistry, Engineering) is highly appreciated
  • Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts
  • Demonstrated competitive drive
  • Strong business savvy
  • Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
