About the role
- Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling
- Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls
- Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction
- Provide customer technical support and consultant services
- Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline
- Set pricing and service levels
- Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations
- Demonstrate commitment to safety
Requirements
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry
- CASE experience is highly appreciated
- Technical degree (Technical Science, Chemistry, Engineering) is highly appreciated
- Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts
- Demonstrated competitive drive
- Strong business savvy
- Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
