About the role
- Responsible for leveraging data throughout the entire product lifecycle to improve Unity's advertising solutions.
- Balance strategy, governance, and implementation of data-related initiatives and facilitate conversations between executives, engineers, analysts, product teams, and data consumers.
- Part of the central data team responsible for data flow and business logic across the organization.
- Define data flow from generation/ingestion through transformation and storage to consumption for machine-learning models or analysis.
- Deeply understand internal customers' data needs and collaborate with engineering on execution.
- Define and articulate a clear vision and strategy for managed data products aligned with Unity's objectives.
- Translate complex requirements of large data initiatives into clear actionable items.
- Prioritize data initiatives across a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate a cross functional team of engineers and analysts.
Requirements
- Experience as a data product manager working with large volumes of data at scale.
- Exceptional communication and influence skills with the ability to work with cross functional stakeholders across the organization.
- Deep domain knowledge in data modeling, database design, and data lakehouse architectures with the capability to drive technical decisions with engineering colleagues.
- Strong analytical and data driven decision making skills.
- Knowledge and hands-on SQL experience.
- A demonstrated track record of delivering results through shipping products.
- Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written communication.
