About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble, load, and unload equipment
- Assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental
- Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order
- Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy
- Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Provide labor assistance in preparing customer orders and maintaining trench safety equipment
- Support smooth Trench Safety branch operation
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred
- Knowledge of trench safety equipment is an advantage but not required
- Some knowledge of computers and phone apps
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- Diligent attention to safety
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
- This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures
