Regional Recruiter
United RentalsRegion Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and presenting candidates for branch positions at United Rentals. Collaborating with HR to enhance recruitment for various initiatives and leadership roles.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and presenting candidates for branch positions
- Build relationships with District, Branch and HR leadership to formulate annual recruiting plans with a focus on building candidate pipelines, turnover reduction, college/technical school hiring, diversity recruitment and skilled labor recruitment
- Focus sourcing efforts to increase pool of candidates to meet these objectives
- Ability to independently build on a Recruitment Strategy, research, and utilize various recruitment sources including non-fee, niche websites, military, job boards, social media and diversity sources along with ATS (WorkDay)
- Assist in attending college fairs and building partnerships with schools
- Forge relationships with trade schools, technical schools, driving schools, high schools, military bases and transition offices to place Service Techs, Equipment Associates, Drivers as well as Sales and Management roles, partnering with hiring managers
- Manage and administer ATS (WorkDay) and onboarding system for the region
- Work closely with leadership and other hiring managers to ensure system process flow, as well as good, efficient offer and onboarding process for all new hires and managers
- Assist hiring managers schedule interviews, prepare offer letters and non-competes for new hires as necessary
- Achieve established recruitment metrics (slate time, diversity, Time to Fill etc.)
- Report on staffing metrics (e.g., cost per hire, time to fill) and college hiring, diversity and other initiative results
- Run reports to analyze recruitment issues and proactively determine ways to improve recruitment results
- Assist and support recruitment colleagues; provide guidance to less experienced or new recruitment team members when needed
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of high volume recruiting and/or experience in Equipment Rentals in a fast paced environment
- Excellent assessment and interviewing skills
- Knowledge and experience with internet and social media sourcing
- Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System, Workday preferred
- Hands-on experience in college, trade schools, diversity and military recruitment preferred
