About the role
- Responsible for cold commissioning various projects all around the UK
- Mentoring young aspiring commissioning technicians
- Strong understanding of cold commissioning 11-33kV switchgear
- Liaising with customers representatives and delivering switchgear installations for various manufacturers such as Siemens, Schneider, Ormazabal, ABB and others
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in Engineering
- At least 5 years working within the Power Industry
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Full UK Driving license
- Good working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions
- Capable of performing tests such as Contact resistance (Ductor), Insulation resistance, AC dielectric withstand tests, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, relay secondary injection, scheme checks and CT analysis
- Capable of working with protection relays and making minor changes to settings and configs as and when required
- Installation tests on distribution Transformers
