About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and toileting
- Support meal service and monitor patient intake
- Take and document vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Assist with patient transport and unit support tasks
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
- Collaborate with nurses and other team members to ensure quality outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Completion of a Nurse’s Aide program
- Previous hospital or health care experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred
- Compassionate and dependable approach to patient care
- Ability to assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, meal service, patient transport, and unit support
- Ability to take and document vital signs
- Ability to report changes to the care team
- Ability to respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
- Ability to collaborate with nurses and other team members
- Ability to work rotational shifts
- Regular position eligibility requires at least 24 scheduled weekly hours for benefits
