About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet each patient with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills.
Provide patients with a seamless experience while following all UHS Policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing.
Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience.
Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting preferred.
Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA) preferred.
Strong clerical background with excellent computer skills.
Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
