About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing end users, contractors, and engineers while cultivating new business opportunities and long-term partnerships
- Provide engineers and end users with professional product recommendations, technical support, and consistent follow-up to ensure successful project execution and maximize sales growth
- Schedule customer meetings, coordinate product presentations and promotional events, and maintain regular communication with the customer base
- Attend product training sessions and participate in local industry associations, conferences, and trade shows
- Travel to manufacturers and represented company locations for training and professional development as needed
- Travel within the assigned sales territory in Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern Delaware, and Southern New Jersey
- Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and local general contractors in the municipal market
- Provide in-person consultation, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years experience selling process equipment and pumps, with a proven track record in sales, business development, or account management
- Experience in the municipal water and wastewater industry is required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to engineers, municipalities, contractors, and plant personnel
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and exceptional follow-through
- Strong consultative selling, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong organizational, time management, and territory management abilities
- Comfortable leading in-person customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, priorities, and customer accounts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software is preferred
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record is required
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory as needed
