About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the overall growth and profitability of the branch
- Oversee day-to-day management of the facility, staff, and branch operations
- Maximize branch revenues, sales, customer satisfaction, and operational results
- Hire, onboard, discipline, reward, coach, and manage the performance of branch employees
- Communicate and monitor goals with staff
- Create and maintain the branch business plan
- Participate in business development, business calling, and sales programs
- Update and monitor sales activities using 360 View
- Develop and maintain a diversified loan and deposit portfolio
- Participate in community activities and maintain public relations
- Implement controls to protect the bank in accordance with policies and procedures
- Serve as chief communicator for branch-related topics
- Interview consumer loan applicants, including real-estate loan applicants
- Request loan application information and recommend and outline loan terms
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of banking experience
- Consumer/residential lending experience
- Supervisory experience
- Good interpersonal communication and supervisory skills
- Thorough knowledge of consumer and small business lending operations, teller and CSR functions, and bank products and services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change
- Background in financial operating policies and procedures, state and federal banking regulations, employee development, and public relations preferred
- Must complete all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training
- NMLS initial registration and annual renewal required, including fingerprinting and background checks
- Must pass a criminal background and credit check
- Must be able to work a flexible Monday–Friday schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel up to 25%
