About the role

  • Assist Team Manager and BDOs with collection and input of information to accelerate the sales process
  • Become familiar with SBA credit policy and other Bank policies and procedures
  • Provide frequent communication to all parties involved in transactions in a positive and organized manner
  • Help manage the sales process to ensure loan requests are reviewed efficiently and customers receive timely answers
  • Assist in origination and processing of all loans within the Team
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of company underwriting, closing, and lending guidelines
  • Apply understanding of the bank's credit policy and SBA eligibility
  • Assist with marketing and sales presentations
  • Maintain files within SBA software
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Adhere to all Bank policies and federal/state banking laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn SBA specialty areas and SOP requirements
  • Participate in all required compliance training
  • Previous experience in SBA lending or banking environment preferred
