About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Organize, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of field and/or virtual appraisers.
- Assign, monitor, and prioritize appraisal workloads to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and company objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, resolve issues, and encourage engagement.
- Review complex or high-value claims for estimate accuracy, policy compliance, and state regulatory adherence.
- Implement and manage quality assurance programs to ensure consistent and accurate appraisals.
- Stay current on repair laws, parts/materials pricing trends, and insurance industry best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in auto claims or vehicle damage appraisals; 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency with estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Florida-specific repair laws and insurance regulations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for in-person inspections (if applicable).
- Industry certifications (I-CAR, ASE, etc.) a plus.
