About the role

  • Investigate root causes of customer business processing issues and implement preventative measures
  • Use structured approach, tools, and processes for analytical troubleshooting across infrastructure, virtualization, operating systems, and the application stack
  • Learn and apply Azure, DevOps, and cloud troubleshooting techniques
  • Collaborate with Cloud Ops team, receive mentorship and guidance to develop Cloud Ops skills
  • Support database administration tasks: design, performance optimization, monitoring, and alerting
  • Potentially undergo security clearance/background checks for customer projects and sensitive data access
  • Work remotely within Portugal, Poland, or Spain

Requirements

  • Experience in Windows OS, Active Directory, SQL Server, PowerShell
  • Database Design & Architecture: schema design, normalization/denormalization, data partitioning and sharding strategies
  • Performance Optimization: query tuning and indexing
  • Experience with database monitoring tools and proactive alerting
  • Experience with PostgreSQL is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Windows Server monitoring and maintenance
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, JSON, or other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and Microsoft Azure platform is an advantage
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to learn and resourcefulness
  • May require security clearance and background checks for customer projects and access to sensitive data
  • Ability to work from within Portugal, Poland, or Spain
