About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and support ClearPath OS2200 environments across installation, configuration, daily operations, and lifecycle management
Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity to maintain stable, secure, and efficient operations
Lead system upgrades, patching, maintenance, and environment changes using controlled ITIL change management practices
Configure and support core platform services including TCP/IP networking, batch processing, printing, storage, tape, and security controls
Analyze system performance trends, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement tuning improvements to optimize throughput and resilience
Support integration with database, middleware, transaction, and application workloads across customer environments
Develop and maintain automation, monitoring, scripts, and operational tooling to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Respond to incidents, participate in on-call support, and provide escalation management during critical outages or service disruptions
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials
Partner with internal teams and customers to deliver reliable managed services, support disaster recovery readiness, and drive continuous service improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong expertise in ClearPath OS2200 system administration
Mainframe OS installation, configuration, and monitoring
Experience with TCP/IP networking and certificates
Experience with workload automation tools (OpCon, Control-M, AMS)
Experience with tape and storage management (STAR, Disk, VTL)
Experience with RDMS/DMS database environments and integration
Experience with batch and transaction processing systems
Must be authorized to work and residing in the United States
