About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, operate and continuously improve the Agentic AI Platform on Azure, including infrastructure, networking, access control, secrets and certificates
  • Deploy and operate Azure AI Foundry (model endpoints, AI services, workspaces) including the complete model lifecycle (rollout, versioning, testing, rollback)
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (primarily Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for reproducible, auditable platform releases
  • Ensure observability (logging, metrics, tracing, performance, token usage, costs) and perform ongoing optimization, troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Implement security and governance (guardrails, policies, IAM, quotas, Responsible AI, auditability) including secure connectivity (private endpoints, VNETs, isolation)
  • Operate MCP infrastructure and manage FinOps (consumption, budgets, cost optimization), capacity and quota management, and consistent platform operations across the group

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have Azure platform engineering experience (networking, subscriptions, landing zones, security)
  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Services or comparable AI platforms in production
  • Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (preferably Terraform) with reproducible deployments
  • Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
  • Solid knowledge of IAM, Azure RBAC, managed identities, Entra ID and secret management and secure configuration
  • Strong skills in observability and AI governance (access control, quotas, Responsible AI, auditability)
  • Excellent German and English skills
