About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and qualify Uniper’s UK sites and assets for Data Center developments in cooperation with COO functions
  • Evaluate and develop power-related Customer Capacity Contracts and other commercial Data Center opportunities using existing and new generation assets
  • Lead opportunities from ideation and development of “Powered Land” and “Private Wire” concepts through Financial Decisions
  • Structure commercial agreements for behind-the-meter arrangements, dedicated grid connections/private wire, and long-term power supply and capacity contracts
  • Build and maintain an overview of UK Data Center activities
  • Act as UK deputy to the Head of Commercial Asset Solutions Europe
  • Coordinate and maintain the Data Center customer network across the deal value chain
  • Contribute to Uniper’s Data Center strategy and support new business models with Innovation
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers and partners at decision-maker level
  • Collaborate with Power, Real Estate, Business Controlling, Legal, and Risk teams
  • Build and extend the external Data Center network
  • Coordinate UK Data Center activities with internal stakeholders
  • Drive transactions from ideation to contract signature as Deal Architect and Relationship Owner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree, e.g. in Engineering, Business Administration, or Legal
  • Strong commercial mindset, communication, and negotiation skills with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Track record in developing long-term business relationships
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder networks including customers, partners, and local authorities at all levels
  • Proven ability to coordinate in a cross-functional environment
  • Significant project management skills and experience within infrastructure projects
  • Good technical understanding of electrical infrastructure and grid operator structures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in an international environment
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
