About the role
- Owner's engineering: define interfaces, develop requirements, and support projects from concept through FEED to FID
- Manage tendering: prepare scopes of work and specifications, develop evaluation matrices, and manage bidder communications
- Operational implementation: structure deliverable lists, consolidate documents, follow up on open issues, and ensure quality and schedule adherence
- Project control: develop roadmaps, manage risks, prepare reports, and draft decision papers
- Coordination: align interdisciplinary teams and external partners; coordinate technical and commercial stakeholders
- Flexible prioritisation: work solution-oriented on changing tasks, identify gaps and close them
Requirements
- Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or a related field; or an equivalent qualification
- 5 years of experience in plant engineering and project business; background in the chemical industry is an advantage
- Independent working style: recognise gaps and take ownership — from problem to solution
- Project management skills
- Team-oriented: active collaboration in large, multidisciplinary structures rather than silo thinking
- Flexible in dynamic environments with changing priorities
- Breadth of technical knowledge is more important than deep specialisation; experience with Power-to-X is beneficial
- Fluent in German and English (business/professional proficiency)
