About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of occupational hazards at client companies, identifying exposures to physical, chemical and other risk factors.
Perform occupational hygiene measurements, including noise, vibration and chemical agents (dusts, gases and vapours), using applicable technical methodologies and procedures.
Set up, calibrate and operate measurement equipment, ensuring the reliability of data collected in the field.
Prepare technical reports and environmental assessment reports based on analyses performed and current legislation.
Interpret assessment results and advise clients on required adjustments to comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
Be technically responsible for reports issued and for information recorded in internal systems.
Register occupational risks in the information system and present the information to the Occupational Physician to define medical actions.
Conduct technical site visits and travel to client locations as required by the consultancy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma.
Technical course in Occupational Safety (Safety Technician) with active professional registration.
Experience in Occupational Hygiene, including performing quantitative field assessments.
Experience measuring noise, vibration and chemical agents (dusts, gases and vapours).
Knowledge of NIOSH, OSHA and ACGIH methodologies.
Technical knowledge to interpret occupational exposure limits, including STEL, TWA and Ceiling Value.
Experience configuring, calibrating and operating environmental measurement equipment.
Availability for frequent travel.
Valid Category B driver's license.
The following are a plus:
University degree completed or in progress.
Knowledge of the SOC system.
Experience preparing occupational hygiene technical reports.
