About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of occupational hazards at client companies, identifying exposures to physical, chemical and other risk factors.
  • Perform occupational hygiene measurements, including noise, vibration and chemical agents (dusts, gases and vapours), using applicable technical methodologies and procedures.
  • Set up, calibrate and operate measurement equipment, ensuring the reliability of data collected in the field.
  • Prepare technical reports and environmental assessment reports based on analyses performed and current legislation.
  • Interpret assessment results and advise clients on required adjustments to comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Be technically responsible for reports issued and for information recorded in internal systems.
  • Register occupational risks in the information system and present the information to the Occupational Physician to define medical actions.
  • Conduct technical site visits and travel to client locations as required by the consultancy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma.
  • Technical course in Occupational Safety (Safety Technician) with active professional registration.
  • Experience in Occupational Hygiene, including performing quantitative field assessments.
  • Experience measuring noise, vibration and chemical agents (dusts, gases and vapours).
  • Knowledge of NIOSH, OSHA and ACGIH methodologies.
  • Technical knowledge to interpret occupational exposure limits, including STEL, TWA and Ceiling Value.
  • Experience configuring, calibrating and operating environmental measurement equipment.
  • Availability for frequent travel.
  • Valid Category B driver's license.
  • The following are a plus:
  • University degree completed or in progress.
  • Knowledge of the SOC system.
  • Experience preparing occupational hygiene technical reports.
