About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and lead the combined finance and commercial workstream through concept development to launch recommendations.
- This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate in ambiguity, move quickly, and set direction with confidence.
- As a core member of the new ventures leadership team, this role will integrate inputs across innovation, marketing, R&D, supply chain, and strategy, translating them into clear commercial and financial direction.
- Lead key decisions on pricing, cost structure, demand scenarios, and investment tradeoffs, accountable for the overall business case and commercial logic.
- Own and lead the integrated business case and financial model, including revenue, margin structure, and investment profile across scenarios.
- Partner with the Innovation Lead to shape pricing and pack architecture (PPA), ensuring alignment with margin targets and financial guardrails.
- Develop and direct demand and revenue scenarios to inform planning, tradeoffs, and key decisions.
- Translate commercial implications of consumer, brand, and proposition inputs into clear financial frameworks and decision support.
- Act as the financial and commercial thought partner to the Innovation Lead, ensuring product, pricing, and GTM decisions are grounded in clear economics, tradeoffs, and scalable models.
- Support evaluation of commercialization pathways, including partnerships and route to market options, through robust modeling and scenario analysis.
- Define financial guardrails and success metrics for the venture, including launch thresholds, payback expectations, and scaling triggers.
- Drive alignment, pace, and accountability across functions.
- Provide clear, fact-based recommendations to the General Manager and leadership to support key decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of progressive finance experience (8+ years of experience to include CPG preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preference in Finance & Accounting or advanced degree)
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to develop robust business cases and guide investment decisions in a dynamic environment
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, translating complex inputs into clear commercial and financial direction
- Demonstrated experience influencing and aligning senior, cross-functional stakeholders to drive decisions and outcomes
- Strong judgment and decision-making capability, with confidence to challenge assumptions and navigate ambiguity
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a high degree of agility and resilience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, concise insights and recommendations for leadership.
