About the role
- Develop tone-based messaging (empathetic, firm, reminder, reactivation, apology, etc.) based on customer profile and account status.
- Write multi-stage email sequences: initial outreach, reminders, final notices, confirmations, and post-payment follow-ups.
- Build automated email funnels and drip campaigns mapped to each stage of the customer lifecycle.
- Segment audiences by behavior, payment history, and account age; personalize content using dynamic variables.
- Launch and optimize campaigns on platforms such as MailWiz, SendGrid, Mailgun, Customer.io, Klaviyo, or HubSpot.
- Run A/B tests and analyze engagement metrics (opens, clicks, payments) to refine messaging and timing.
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA, Reg F, and CAN-SPAM; coordinate cadence and deliverability with technical teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years in email marketing, lifecycle automation, or outbound engagement.
- Strong copywriting skills with tone control for sensitive or regulated communications.
- Experience designing behavioral journeys and automated campaigns.
- Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience using at least one major email platform.
- Background in finance, collections, retention, or subscription-based engagement is a plus.
