About the role
- Support the development and operationalisation of the ScaleX Incubation Framework, including tools, templates, and workflows.
- Assist in mapping and engaging university, research, youth-led organisations and innovation partners relevant to ScaleX missions.
- Contribute to designing and coordinating innovation challenges, early-stage scoping activities, and collaboration workshops with academic partners and industry stakeholders.
- Support the development and integration of incubation methodologies into ScaleX regional programmes.
- Assist in developing the internal innovation incubation programme structure, workflows, and supporting materials.
- Support onboarding, facilitation, and coordination of participating UNIDO teams.
- Contribute to organising peer-learning sessions, problem-solving workshops, and internal knowledge exchanges.
- Support programme planning, scheduling, internal coordination, and follow-up across InnoLab workstreams.
- Assist with drafting TORs, procurement requests, documentation, and contracting processes.
- Coordinate communication with internal teams, external experts, and innovation partners.
- Develop knowledge briefs, case studies, lessons learned, and other materials documenting incubation activities.
- Maintain digital repositories of tools, templates, resources, and AI-related materials for the CoP.
- Prepare communication assets, including internal announcements, slides, articles, and web content.
- Organise knowledge-sharing events showcasing innovative approaches across UNIDO and partner institutions.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s) in Innovation Management, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Digitalisation/AI, Engineering or related disciplines is required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in university and industry collaboration, innovation management, incubation/acceleration, communication, AI/digitalisation programmes, or programme coordination is required.
- Experience supporting innovation ecosystems, partnerships, communities of practice, or capacity-building programmes is desirable.
- Strong organisational, analytical, communication, facilitation and coordination skills is desirable.
- Familiarity with AI, digital transformation, or systems innovation approaches is considered an asset.
- Experience working in the UN system or innovation- and youth-led organisations is considered a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Working knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
