About the role

  • Support the support team to operationalize routines and requests with the objective of keeping IT environments functional and stable;
  • Provide 2nd-level technical support, guiding users and support teams on incidents and requests related to network and telecom;
  • Respond to operational emergencies, driving problem resolution and crisis management;
  • Manage and monitor network and telecom infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, quality, and performance of IT services;
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment (access points, switches, firewalls), ensuring availability, performance, and security of the environment;
  • Support contract administration and supplier relations, monitoring SLAs and service quality, and proposing improvements or replacements;
  • Maintain control and inventory of network and telecom assets, keeping updated records of equipment, links, contracted plans, vendors, and other items;
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to telecom infrastructure (network topology, operational manuals, contingency procedures, etc.);
  • Analyze network performance and propose optimizations, applying best practices, identifying bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for security and efficiency improvements;
  • Perform physical installation of network assets, organizing racks according to established technical standards;
  • Participate in network expansion and upgrade projects, collaborating on technical solution definition, schedules, and implementation of new technologies;
  • Assist with telecom carrier billing management processes;
  • Observe and follow technical and corporate procedures, rules, and policies;
  • Ensure compliance with information security standards and internal policies;
  • Provide technical support for technology upgrade initiatives within the Telecom, Network Security, and IT infrastructure environment.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems;
  • Advanced knowledge of large-scale network and telecommunications environments, including protocols and standards such as VRRP, BGP, VLAN, OSPF, STP, VPN, QoS, and experience with enterprise-grade routers and switches;
  • Advanced knowledge of network security, including firewall detection/prevention and intrusion protocols;
  • Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructures, Telecom, and network security both cloud and on-premises;
  • Advanced knowledge of complex telecom structures, LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN;
  • Familiarity with market-leading vendor solutions such as Cisco/Cisco Meraki, Dell, and Palo Alto;
  • Ability to develop solutions for task automation and day-to-day routine optimization;
  • Strong knowledge of packet analysis tools, troubleshooting, log interpretation, event correlation, performance reporting, and proposing improvements;
  • Experience in contract management, verifying availability metrics and monitoring SLAs;
  • Knowledge and experience in planning and installing structured cabling and organizing racks using best practices;
  • Advanced knowledge of network access control protocols and mechanisms, including IEEE 802.1X, EAP, RADIUS, and NAC (Network Access Control) concepts;
  • Experience administering IP telephony systems, configuring IVRs, call recordings, and dial plan/routing rules.
