About the role

Monitor the performance of assigned systems and implement measures to ensure optimal performance and high availability of DB services
Define DB backup strategies and ensure a valid and maintained recovery plan is in place
Define and implement upgrade strategies to keep the DB environment and platforms up to date
Support management/upgrade/patching of BI stack (Oracle Analytics, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, OBIEE, ODI, OAS)
Select and implement appropriate DB infrastructure configurations to support business/technology architectures
Perform routine installation, re-configuration and backups of database and related products on on-premises and cloud environments
Develop and configure tools to enable automation of database administration tasks
Keep up to date Software Lifecycle (roadmap) management of database products
Monitor performance statistics and create reports
Responsible for installation, 24/7 operation, monitoring, maintenance, and system administration of assigned Database platform services
Role primarily based in Braine-l'Alleud with up to 100 days of duty travel per year to Belgium as required by operational needs.

Strong knowledge of DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server and PostgreSQL) with sound experience on at least two
Good understanding of MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (MySQL InnoDB Cluster, MySQL InnoDB Replicaset, MySQL InnoDB ClusterSet, MySQL Replication)
Good understanding of Oracle Analytics with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
Good understanding of ORDS, Apache HTTP and Tomcat administration
Current and in-depth knowledge and practical working experience of latest versions of operating systems (Linux/UNIX and MS Windows Server)
Good understanding of advanced High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures (server clustering, virtual infrastructures)
An active Security Clearance at NATO Secret level is mandatory at the time of application
Proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required
