About the role

  • Focused on NYS counties from Westchester up to Warren County, though most heavily situated in and around Albany and Schenectady
  • On-call contract management managing multiple projects ongoing concurrently
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Work independently as well as in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Supervising Subcontractors, estimating required staff time to establish staff budgets per project
  • Flexibility to effectively deal with dynamic project priorities and timelines through analytical problem-solving scheduling, cost control, and personnel management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Manage multiple priorities, sound judgment, computer skills for scheduling, estimating, and administrative responsibilities
  • Assist with project specific cost estimating, manage site logistics
  • Development of job hazard analysis for projects
  • Review of safe work practices with labor force prior to project commencement
  • Holding daily safety meetings with crew and documenting those meetings
  • Incident/Accident reporting and performing routine site and safety inspections
  • Participate in the management of daily operational issues, long-term planning and resource coordination, identifying and improving procedures, ongoing project support

Requirements

  • B.S Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related construction discipline preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of responsible experience in construction management, including project management, site management, equipment
  • OSHA 30 Certificate completed within past 5 years
  • Computer skills for the Microsoft Suite, P6 (or MS Project)
  • PMP or CCM certifications desired
  • Site Safety/SST desired
