About the role

  • Provide a range of administrative support services in accordance with UNESCO rules and regulations
  • Assist with procurement, logistics and financial tasks
  • Support the preparation, review and issuance of documents
  • Contribute to monitoring project activities and budgets
  • Liaise with service providers in Burundi and the region
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for field missions, meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Participate in meetings as required

Requirements

  • Secondary, technical or vocational diploma
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in administration, human resources, finance and procurement, or related fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including drafting correspondence and proofreading documents
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Good planning and coordination abilities
  • Demonstrated capacity to set priorities and organize one’s own work
  • Ability to take initiative and deliver timely, high-quality support and services
  • Ability to identify errors or irregularities and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Very good computer skills, including use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent command (read, write, speak) of either French or English, and good knowledge of the other language
