About the role

  • Lead Under Armour’s efforts for all required labeling, product packaging, and inbound packaging optimization across Apparel, Accessories, and Footwear
  • Own initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency, cost, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards
  • Execute UA’s governance framework for inbound packaging optimization and manage program rollout and ongoing operations
  • Drive governance and compliance to ensure adherence to customer standards and global regulations
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align packaging strategies with business goals across selling regions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., MOC usage and optimization, footwear box optimization)
  • Ensure labeling compliance across all selling regions
  • Manage T2 vendor relationships and communication to deliver GL&P products on time to T1 vendors
  • Partner with Design and Product Line Management to deliver seasonal packaging developments on time while managing innovation, quality, and cost
  • Lead a team across multiple regions and continue sustainable packaging initiatives to meet UA sustainability strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in packaging engineering with a proven track record of building scalable and compliant packaging systems
  • Consumer goods background preferred
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for consumer products packaging
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving end-to-end ownership of packaging processes
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability in packaging development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Must reside within commuting distance of the Baltimore office
  • Willingness to travel domestically; rare international travel
